The new government agenda 'Putting People First' is changing the way local authorities deliver adult social care. This agenda centres on 'personalisation'.
The aim of 'personalisation' is to allow people to decide how they should be supported. As well as being able to draw on their own resources, family and friends, they're free to choose other services that will best meet their specific needs.
We've been heavily involved in this agenda from the start. We participated in the national pilot scheme in 2007, and more recently transformed the whole of our Adult Social Care workforce to deliver this revolutionary approach.
